Traditions

• First Day Of school- we visit Tilza Roman Catholic Church to receive a blessing for a whole school year. After that – an event at school.   

• Exhibition of Autumn Flowers which is dedicated to Poetry Day.

• Teachers' Day- teachers enjoy activities prepared by students who also have a chance to experience how it is to be a teacher. We remember retired teachers – they are invited to the school, sometimes we go on an excursion altogether.  

• 11 November- Lāčplēsis Day- torch procession or sport, strength activities, and relay-races. On this day Latvia honors Latvian Freedom Fighters.

• Independence Day of Latvia- concert

• Christmas.

• Mother’s day- school amateur performances; students’ exhibition where different masterpieces from arts and home economics are displayed.  

• Tourism Day- fun, sporty, and nimble activities. In the end – a camp-fire for all.

• Last Bell event

• Gratitude event

• Graduation
